Sheet Metal is the area in which Digital Resources began.  It has been our bread and butter for over 22 years, and will continue to be a point of focus as we bring automation to various sectors of the manufacturing industry.

We provide Automatic Programming for Punch, Laser, Waterjet, Plasma, etc. These can run in the context of a CAD system or in a hands-free batch mode. Our Automatic Tool Selection is second to none in efficiency and flexibility, and our Contour Programming performs all necessary machine specific functions automatically .

We have written post processors for virtually every major NC Punch manufacturer and most Lasers as well.  Output to your machine will not be a problem for us.

Translation of machine language is something that we’ve been involved with since our inception. We can take existing programs for older NC equipment and automatically map them to your new machine (if comparable tooling exists for the new machine).  We’ll even re-compute repositions and perform efficient tool-path optimization - completely automatically !

Customers using our sheet metal software (the Proto System) were implementing parametrics before it was a buzzword in the manufacturing community, and its proper application to the industries we address is something that we fully understand.

We offer an excellent Design and Unfolding program to round out our Sheet Metal offerings. We’ve looked extensively at 3rd party unfolding software and have not found the power and ease of use that AutoPOL 8 provides. Click HERE for more information.
