Material properties often effect both tool and die selection and the punching methods which the system employs. PDB2000 makes provision for re-direction of the programming system in response to the specific material being fabricated.

Rule sets may be invoked which employ material-specific routines such as Bridge-Punching for especially thick or hard material.  Tools can be automatically excluded from consideration because die clearance criteria for a certain material thickness is not met, or because the punch itself is inappropriate for a given material or gage.

This level of intuitiveness makes the programming process easier while preventing costly errors from occurring.  These may be set up and called in connection with any Automated Engineering solution that includes NC programming.
